Fishpond.com.au is a book site I have mentioned before, and after a history of easy and efficient transactions I can vouch for their service. I received an email from them this week offering some suggestions of books I may like based on prior purchases, and with this kind of customer service I have been spurred on to mention them again. Fishpond and booktopia are both Australian sites selling books we like to read, so give them a try when searching for your next bedtime reading.
Just to test out pricing differences I conducted a price comparison on Eric Franklin books. And the winner is…
Fishpond.com.au offered this. A search on Pilates offered over 1000 book choices.
Booktopia.com.au offered this. A search on Pilates offered 122 book choices.

Hi, Thanks for the plug. Just letting you know that fishpond is not an Australian site – they are a NZ company with no physical presence here in Australia at all – just a .com.au domain. Therefore, they don’t pay GST and that’s how they offer “cheaper” prices. It’s the same as comparing to Amazon.com. All their books are sourced from outside Australia, so they are not doing Aussies any favours.
