Spotlights or downlights can be a little bright in peoples’ eyes as they look up from the floor or equipment. They have a modern look though and add a sophisticated touch to your space. Up lamps would work well, placed in corners directing light up across the ceiling, more diffuse than spotlights in ceiling. You can have tracks or cables across the ceiling and lights can hang from them. My preference is to make the light warm and cosy, not bright and stark like fluorescent lighting. You don’t want your clients to feel like they are in an office or function centre!
