The good news is that there are online retailers selling our kind of books in Aust, the bad news is it can all end in tears. A site I am currently trialling is Booktopia. My past experience has been that Aust sites often need to order books in from far away places, and there can be long delays and replies of ‘unavailable’, so I will report on my experience of Booktopia, a Sydney based company as my order unfolds.
We have another Aust contender, Fishpond. In operation since 2006 and with search results for Pilates revealing 248 entries, certainly worth a perusal. Some interesting looking books are “Pilates for Men” a 2005 publication offering 40 trad mat exercises and more than 60 reformer on the mat exercises, designed specifically for men! The cover reminds me of ’Mad Men’.
Another source is of course Amazon, but here you are dealing with US dollars and shipping costs. They do tend to offer more than the Aust sites so if you are looking for something special you may find it worth the effort. I started in Health Mind and Body section, then typed in Pilates.
