I was interested to find a UK site with a prominent feature on Pilates and Pregnancy, it got me wondering how much content there must be online about this topic, and more importantly how much is valid and useful? A Google search on the topic revealed 433 entries, how would a client know where to start with such information overload?
The internet is full of the good and bad, the opinion and the fact, so if your clients find something online that they are interested in, encourage them to tell you where it is and see if you can help clarify or reinforce what’s being said. The Aust govermment health website provides guidelines on assessing online health information and this is a great place to start.
Two useful pregnancy related articles I have recently come across are found at these sites Pilates Pro and Inner Idea.
Looking for books?
A search on Fishpond.com found nine books on the subject. The same search on booktopia.com found four. Lastly, thenile.com.au found seven entries.
My favourite book site, booko.com compared prices for this Lynne Robinson book and the results varied $36 AUD to $58.99. You will need to consider delivery costs too but a few of these quotes were Aust outlets.
